Welcome to the latest newsletter from the team at Azalea Wealth Management. As we head through the summer, we want to take a moment to reflect on a busy few months, share some exciting community milestones and look ahead to what is next for our clients.
Navigating the upcoming ISA changes
There has been a lot of discussion recently regarding the upcoming changes to ISA accounts, which are set to take effect in April 2027.
We know that headlines about new tax charges can be concerning, so we want to provide some clarity - particularly regarding the new 22% tax charge on cash held within Investment ISAs.
The UK government is introducing these changes to encourage active investing and prevent individuals from bypassing the new limits by holding purely cash in an investment vehicle. Overall, this is a positive step designed with true investment in mind.
Here is what you need to know about the April 2027 changes.
For those under the age of 65, the annual Cash ISA allowance will reduce from £20,000 to £12,000. However, if you are over 65, your Cash ISA allowance will remain at the full £20,0001.
It is important to note that investors of all ages are still entitled to the full £20,000 limit when paying into an Investment ISA.
Regarding the new 22% tax charge, traditional Cash ISAs remain entirely free from income and capital gains tax and do not count towards your personal savings allowance. The change only impacts uninvested cash held within an Investment ISA, which will now be subject to a 22% tax charge. Your actual invested funds will remain protected and tax efficient.

Hartlepool Business Forum Expo success
It was an absolute pleasure to be part of Hartlepool’s first-ever Business Forum Expo last month.
Azalea’s very own Harrison Smith was proud to play a significant role in organising the event as part of the Forum’s steering group.
The day was an overwhelming success - a complete sell-out featuring 50 exhibitors at Hartlepool College of Further Education, with a fantastic turnout of delegates coming through the doors.
Attendees enjoyed a day designed to inspire and educate, featuring industry insights from guest speakers and interactive Q&A panels with local experts.
Exhibiting at the event was a special milestone for Azalea, and we already have our sights set on making next year’s Expo even bigger and better.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a brilliant day.
Introducing 'The Vault' app
We are thrilled to announce that the Azalea Wealth Management Vault app is now officially live!
The Vault provides you with secure, easy access to all your important documentation in one managed space, giving you peace of mind without the hassle of filing endless paperwork.
Within the app, you will find your regulatory and advice suitability documents, alongside topical news and industry updates.
It also features a secure chat facility allowing you to communicate directly with our team.
Please note that live investment valuations will continue to be hosted on the St. James's Place app.
If you do not currently have the St. James's Place app set up, we will ensure we get this sorted with you during your next review. However, for all direct communications and document tracking with Azalea, The Vault is now your go-to destination.
Azalea is growing
Finally, we are excited to share that Azalea is expanding!
As we drive the business into its next phase of development, we are actively looking to recruit more financial advisers to our team.
To accommodate this growth, we will be moving into larger premises, though we are pleased to confirm we will be remaining right here in the Innovation Centre, Hartlepool.
