Welcome to the latest newsletter from the team at Azalea Wealth Management. As we move into the new tax year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on a busy few months, share some exciting community milestones and look ahead to what is next for our clients.
We have just wrapped up our first official tax year end as Azalea.
Building up to the April 5 deadline is traditionally the time when the majority of people look to top up their various investment accounts, making it a highly demanding period.
We want to extend a huge thank you to all our clients for your cooperation and patience during such a hectic time.
Now that we are firmly into the 2026-27 tax year, we are reminded that in the world of finance, there is no such thing as absolute certainty.
The recent unrest in the Middle East has provided a stark reminder of the volatility investment markets can face during periods of global instability.
However, it is also a timely reminder of what we discuss regularly in our client meetings: stay the course.
It is vital to remember the long-term goals you were planning for in the first place. As I have said to many of you recently, don’t get too high during the peaks and don’t get too low during the dips - consistency will always prevail.
Away from the markets, it has been a privilege for Azalea’s Harrison Smith to lead on the Hartlepool Business Forum’s first-ever business expo on behalf of the Forum’s steering group.
Taking place at Hartlepool College of Further Education on June 30, this is an incredibly exciting milestone for our town and a project we are exceptionally proud to help bring to life.
The expo will transform the College into a vibrant hub of local commerce, presenting a huge opportunity for the business community to step out from behind their desks, come together and network in style.
Attendees can look forward to a schedule designed to inspire and educate, featuring guest speakers sharing industry insights and interactive panel Q&As with local experts.
Businesses looking to get involved and secure a prime spot to showcase their offerings are encouraged to register their interest immediately.
You can email the Forum at hartlepoolbusinessforum@hartlepool.gov.uk or contact Harrison directly at Azalea.
When Harrison had the idea for a charity golf day during a chat in the Alice House Hospice cafe with the Hospice’s Greg Hildreth and Julie Hildreth, we only hoped it would take off like it has.
At the start of April, we hosted our third Alice House Charity Golf Day in partnership with X-energy at Hartlepool Golf Club.
It fills us with immense pride to see this become such a key fixture in the local fundraising calendar, attracting incredible sponsors and a range of local engineering companies.
Over three successful events, we have welcomed well in excess of 200 participants and raised almost £30,000 for this vital cause - including over £8,000 this year alone.
Three years in, I’m personally still waiting to lift any silverware on the course, but we are looking forward to many more of these fantastic events in the years to come.
We hope you managed to pick up a copy of Tees Business recently, as the Spring 2026 issue (Issue 45) featured a milestone moment for us - Azalea's debut appearance in the magazine.
It was a proud moment to join the region's business community in print with a double page spread (pages 70-71) discussing the launch of Azalea and our ambitious plans for the future.
We had a brilliant time during the photoshoot with photographer Tom Banks right here at Azalea HQ in the Innovation Centre.
If you haven't seen it yet, you can read the digital version of the magazine online at teesbusiness.co.uk [teesbusiness.co.uk].
Keep a close eye on your inbox over the next few weeks. We have an exciting development in the pipeline regarding how we are going to improve your day-to-day experience as an Azalea client.
We are confident this new addition will make managing your financial life even simpler, but our lips are sealed for now. More details to follow very soon!
